Abiola Adeyemi is a Brooklyn-based entrepreneur and woman of faith. She is the Founder of LOTAM Group LLC, a family-legacy holding company with four mission-driven ventures spanning financial education, media, community health, and early childhood education. She is also the Deaconess — a faith community rooted in worship, love, and the intentional growth of every person who walks through its doors.
Spirit, Soul & Science was born from her own journey — navigating anxiety and depression while leading a church, managing a demanding career, and holding on to her faith. She created this podcast because she knows firsthand that being a woman of God does not exempt you from struggle. And that getting help is one of the most faithful things you can do.
Dr. Abiola Mosuro — known warmly as Dr. Biola — is an licensed Psychiatrist. Every day she sits with people who are suffering — and she has built her career on the belief that mental health care should be accessible, compassionate, and whole-person centered.
Dr. Biola is also a woman of deep faith and a member of RCCG Ignite Church NYC — the same church community where Spirit, Soul & Science was born. She brings both her clinical expertise and her lived faith to every conversation, holding the psychiatric and the spiritual with equal care and equal conviction.
She co-hosts Spirit, Soul & Science because she believes the church and the therapist’s office were never meant to be in opposition. Her mission is simple: to normalize getting help within faith communities, and to ensure that no one has to choose between their God and their healing.
Spirit, Soul & Science exists to bridge the gap between faith and mental health — creating an honest, safe, and clinically grounded space where people of faith can acknowledge their struggles, access evidence-based insight, and find community with others on the same journey.
Through authentic conversation, we normalize getting help, break the stigma of therapy in faith communities, and connect listeners with the mental health resources they need to truly heal.
